Creative Process
Looking for constructive criticism. I am new to writing poetry and I am just doing what feel right as I learn.
Drinking in smoke with an intense thirst,
pleading for inspiration.
Silken air gliding across my lips,
faster than fountain on paper.
Smells of sweet Virginias swirling,
residing in the spaces amongst my thoughts.
The subtle crackle of tobacco ribbons,
a saccharine ritual of rhythmical justice.
The taste of ideas turning to embers,
settling onto ivory below.
Satin smoke dissipates all around,
a forgotten memory of my fleeting thoughts.
The only witness,
this ink on paper.
