Satellites
Love disappeared last night,
In a millisecond flicker.
Like death of a star, lightyears away;
I can see it still scintillating,
Speaking, whispering its morse code,
But the flame had already gone out.
What I was looking at, all along, was its last burst of light,
Still travelling years of space.
I have had my eye on you for years now,
But your glow has not yet run out.
My dear, I know we’ve drifted apart
But was it really that far?
