above all is Loneliness

Feedback Received!

if your heart lays on the edge and your fears against the wind,

I am the whisper who beckons you forward.

if anxiety is your mind as your toe steps on air,

I am the force that surrenders your sole to the same.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

above Loneliness: a sky, potently tense.

below Loneliness: a welcoming stillness.

beside Loneliness:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the silence of wakefulness is penetrating.

My yawps and wails go unnoticed by the suffocating quiet.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

if I am Your heart's eviscerating sadness, -

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

this pitiable twilight I have become,

haunting people of fractured glass.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have no regard for self-esteem. brushed aside, me

thrusts sophistication upon the mirror's artistry.

I render me a ghost inflicted by transparency.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

no one believes in Loneliness, but still My shadow is cast.

My presence has yet to be welcomed. I wish to undergo love.

My shadow envelops me desperately. it's the only embrace I feel.

- me am here for you.

The dashed lines are used to separate the stanzas of the poem. This poem is hard to follow and I'm curious if anyone can understand it before reading the following explanation:

Capitalization is used deliberately as a means to differentiate the character "Loneliness", who is capitalized, from "me", who is uncapitalized, which refers directly to myself. This leads to confusing lines like "I render me a ghost". I is always used to refer to Loneliness as I is always capitalized (Let's go grammar). Loneliness is used both as a character/person and the concept/feeling itself.

if I am Your heart's eviscerating sadness, me am here for you.

Thanks for reading!
