Norman Osborn was the CEO of Oscorp when he was going through the notes of his former business partner and started to create the Goblin Serum when it accidentally blew up in his face this granted him superhuman strength and durability but damaged his brain and made him insane (or thinking more clearly than ever before according to the man himself) and thus he became the Green Goblin.
Reposting this after two years because I've updated this thread so much behind the scenes.

Even though this is Osborn's least preferred way of fighting the Goblin Serum makes him very capable of physical combat.
###Strength
- Holds Spider-Man
- Stops Spider-Man and shoves him away
- Trashes Deadpool
- Destroys shackles designed to hold the Hobgoblin
- Beats down Ben Reilly (Spider-Man's identical clone)
###Durability
- Armor
- Tanks a pumpkin bomb and a blast from Songbird
- Gets slammed into a building from a great height and is fine
- Gets tackled down from a helicopter on to concrete and is fine
- Tanks a whole bag of Pumpkin Bombs and is somewhat ok
- Got his heart pierced by his glider and regenerated with his healing factor
###Speed/Skill/Agility
- Dodges a thug with his glider and takes out a gun with his blaster
- Dodges a chair thrown by Spider-Man
- Kills Swordsman (Strucker) with his own sword
- Tackles Spider-Man
- Dodges a blast from the Hobgoblin
- Dodges Swordsman (Strucker)
- Takes out a guard at very high security prison
Probably what most are associating with the Green Goblin, with his glider, pumpkin bombs and other miscellaneous equipment this makes the Green Goblin a force to be reckoning with in combat.

This is stuff he probably doesn't have with him all the time but more a show case of what he could bring i.e. mostly Silver Age gadgets.

Now this is what separates the Green Goblin from other common villains, this is why Norman Osborn is Spider-Man's greatest and most feared enemy.

- Knows that the New Avengers were setting up a trap and countered it

- Knew that Spider-Man was trying to infiltrate him as Venom (which Venom's teammates didn't discover except Daken who has hightened senses)
- Discovers how Peter Parker gets his pictures of Spider-Man
- Creates a gas that dulls senses and removes Spider-Sense
- Creates a gas grenade that removes wall crawling
- Figures out how to jam War Machines magno locks
###Plotting
- Knew Spider-Man would attack him so he placed cameras
- Changes his face
- Have catastrophe files for mayor players
- Modifies Namor's exwife and unleashes her on Atlantis
- Plants automatically altering "evidence" against him
- Captured Black Widow by pretending to be Nick Fury
- Successfully figured out Spider-Man's identity
- Fakes Aunt May's death and places an actress with modified DNA in her place
- Have heavy evidence against him stolen and the accuser discredited by placing a gamma emitter on Samson and getting an actor that plays the Green Goblin
- Has a lot of plans for if he goes down which he uses to make Spider-Man break Norman out of prison
- Manage to exploit a weakness in Superior Spider-Man's Spider-Bots and by laying low until he had removed all other crime, he took over the city
- Enslaves an entire country to become the biggest weapons manufacturer in the world
- Is behind the whole Clone Saga (Not only does he have the ability to torment Spider-Man but us readers in real life as well)
###Manipulation
- Deflects attack by Ben Urich
- Disarms a harmful speech by Hawkeye
- Hires actor to kidnap his grandson so he can clear his name
- Knows how Penance works
- Makes the entire city hunt for Spider-Man
- Gets inside Sentry's head and wins him over to his side
- Distracts the public from very bad press by putting War Machine on trial and further distracts by letting Ares attend the trial
- Improves Daken's image by blowing up a few buildings and blame it on the enemies while planting a baby that Daken could rescue
- Gets inside Captain Marvell Skrull's head and turns him against the skrulls
- By manipulating the public and impressing the president during the Skrull Invasion and intercepting the plans to take out the Skrull Queen and doing it himself he became the head of national security

In order to get the final edge he needed against Spider-Man, Norman aquired the Carnage Symbiote and became the Red Goblin.
###Offense
- One-shots Silk
- Too strong for Spider-Man
- Homing Carnage-Bombs
- A hit to the leg makes it unusable
- Causes a lot of destruction
- Can shoot tiny parts of himself into people that he can later activate from a distance to cause a very painful death
###Defense
- Being impaled doesn't affect him
- Punched through two skyscrapers and is unfazed by it
- No-sells Miles Morales' Venom Blast
- Tanks a repulsor blast from an Iron Man-gauntlet
- Attacks by Human Torch and Clash (who is able to destroy walls with his sonics) does nothing
