About to purchase my first Audi (woohoo) and going with a 2016 RS7. Extended CPO worth it?

Hi all. First post on reddit and it’s regarding my first ever Audi. About to pull the trigger tomorrow. It’s a 2016 RS7 CPO with 2 years of warranty left (1 new, 1 CPO). They quoted me for $3k for 1 additional year or $5500 for two additional years. Anyone with experience with Audi or even RS7 think that is worth it?

Thanks!

Do it! I got my RS7 CPO with extended warranty and prepaid 3 years of Audicare. I haven't had a single issue and aside from brakes and tires everything is covered. This was my first Audi as well and it's been the best experience with a car and dealer I've ever had.

Newer Audi’s are definitely waaay more reliable than anything they made pre-2010, but if the $5500 isn’t a big deal then I would get the extended simply for the peace of mind knowing you’re covered for longer.

3-4 essentially worry free years just incase something goes wrong.

It's not worth it at that price.

5.5k should get you 4 years not 2.

Haggle.

For a car like that? I'd get it, but not for that price, personally. If you want, hit up fd-warrantyDOTcom and get a price quote for extended warranty.

The car has to be under the original warranty with at least 1 year left, and 10k miles under limit to qualify. They're legit.

Just an FYI, actual cost of the 1 year warranty is $1.5K, by charging $3k (which is common), they're bending you over a bit more as pure profit.

Troy at fdwarranty will hook you up and you can use his quote to counter the dealership. He'll probably come in at around $1600 for 1 year, and $5500 for 4 years. It's the same Exact factory extended warranty. He has all of the info on his site.

Look up the site on audizine and Audi World, it's legit.

I know that buying a RS7 is already big bucks, and $5.5k is nothing in comparison, but it never hurts to save a few bucks when you can! Best of luck.

No but Audi Care was worth it.

$5k seems expensive, either way make sure to read the fine print and know what’s included and what’s not.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I think I’m gonna pass for that price. I might try to get two years for $3000 but if they won’t bargain with me I’m going to press my luck on my remaining two years. Also may invest in Audi care. Thanks again!
