Poems about Lucy
I've been posting angels through your letter box,
With messages on the feathers of their fluttering wings.
You squeeze my bones, you take my Turkish delight,
Unbox it and seat it gently on the velvet pillow
Of the hazy pink-red of your eye shadow.
Which frames forest moons of ever green woodland
- where the morning birds beak about last night
And the little narcissus reach up out of the canopy
Beyond the exospehere to the whites of your eyes,
Where I am transfixed – where I am floating endlessly
Wandering whether you've read my letters since yesterday.
