Game loves to introduce new things without telling us.

SpoilerOther

Just finished the quest to unlock kuva missions and I have to say it's kind of annoying having to google what you even do in them. Would be nice to have a training missions to learn it at least.

Had I never heard of sorties that would have also caught me off guard. Seems like they need npc conversations when stuff gets unlocked that's a major part of the game. I cant imagine how new people handle all the stuff you unlock just out of nowhere. Kuva, rivens, sorties etc

To be fair though, a lot of these have probably been talked about in Dev streams over the years.

And play examples done in the various platform streams during the week.

Part of the Warframe experience has always been to figure things out as you go. Sure the are a lot of content creators that make guides for every aspect of the game, but those pioneers figured it all out without hero from DE. One of my favourite aspects of Warframe is the discovery. I think having Lotus/Ortis/Operator tell me what to do and how to do it for every so in the journey would take much of the fun away.

I agree with this, half the fun is discovering things.

I discovered on the wiki how to not use excalibur.

You've been playing the same game all along, I'm suprised how you hadn't noticed this sooner...

Welcome to Wikiframe. Have a link.

Most stuff - especially game and mission types - are actually explained ingame though, you don't need to google these things, you can look up most stuff in the Codex ingame too (though the wiki is much more detailed on everything).

The game just doesn't shove information in your face, you gotta look for it. One thing I love about it, fuck all the handholding modern triple A games do IMHO.

ahh see it's optimistic people like you that make the community so enjoyable. 10/10 being serious. the community for this game is unrealistically kind.

The lotus dialogue is supposed to help, but some of it is just fluff, and other parts are contradictory or even just wrong.

This has been DE way of doing things since forever. They show no indication they are going to change. It is hard even for vets that may not have played in long time and for new players alike.

Reminds me of the older zelda or megaman games. Now those are games that need more tutorials or something to show how to do the puzzles because they are hard to beat without looking up the answers.
