Yes. You can purchase ebook variants cheap from Amazon.
Honesty, Rulers of Earth is easily one of my favourite pieces of Godzilla media ever. It’s just so fun and fan service-y in the best way possible. The human stuff ain’t bad at all either.
It’s so good. I’ve been reading it again to get hyped for KotM.
The Godzilla comics don’t get enough love, which is too bad because this, Cataclysm, and Half Century War are awesome.
I read Cataclysm, thought it was great. Almost as good as Rulers of Earth, but it was a lot shorter, (not necessarily a bad thing, but not enough time to develop humans or monsters) and I wasn’t a fan of how everyone except Godzilla/Mothra/Biollante/Megagirus/Destroyah only appeared in flashbacks. Still a really entertaining and interesting read.
However, I haven’t yet had the chance to read Half-Century War. How does it stack up against RoE and Cataclysm?
Half-Century War is easily the second best Godzilla comic. The art by James Stokoe itself is worth the purchase, let alone the epic story contained within. For stand-alone books it simply can't be beat.
I'm still shocked that the Complete ROE Volume 2 has yet to be published. I NEED IT!!
I just found ROE Volume 5 at a small comic shop for its normal price and I could hardly contain my excitement.
Stupid thing is pushing $100 everywhere online and for whatever reason IDW just hasn’t put out Complete ROE 2 yet.
I should probably buy Oblivion and Rage Across Time before those become difficult to find too.
I think it’s better than Cataclysm but not as awesome as Rulers.
Like Cataclysm, it’s very short. However, James Stokoe does the art and it’s amazing. The story follows one soldier as he battles Godzilla over 50 years, and what we see is iconic Godzilla moments through his eyes.
The entire thing is available on the ComiXology unlimited app and the oversized HC is relatively cheap. Definitely recommend it to any Godzilla fan.
