I’m so confused, the plot jumps so randomly, am I missing something?... (spoilers)

Ok guys, so it seems every episode I watch the plot jumps and I have a feeling I missed episodes but I didn’t. They all got fired in episode 15 only to have LaFrey back as boss and then all working as normal in that start of episode 16. Also episode 14 they’re all there being weird and discussing ufos and then episode 15 it’s suddenly a multi-agency task force without buildup. Is there a complimentary show I’m missing??

They shot like 12 episodes of the show, then decided it wasn't working and rebooted it and shot a few more episodes with some different cast members and a change in direction.

Then when they aired the show they mixed up the order and mixed the rebooted episodes in with the old ones.

You aren't missing anything - it just doesn't make much sense. Episode 16 ignores the previous episodes because it was shot before them.

Ok that definitely clarified things. I seriously starting watching the last 5 minutes of previous episodes thinking maybe I fell asleep or something, but nope just got more confused.

Thanks DarkRoastJames for the info. That's what I told my wife I thought was happening after we finished watching this latest one the broadcast. It made no sense whatsoever, and I just felt like whoever was in charge of the show missed a great chance at a good first season of the show. Take a direction and stay with it! Tangents are fine, but I really started to think I'd lost my mind.

according to wiki production codes on this show, even the first several episodes were aired in a random order. this last episode was the original ep 10 finale and even aired online and overseas months ago. i kinda liked both iterations of the show but they really didn't mesh together that well without continuity problems. anyway, another decent show imploded to make way for some other bogus things. btw i am still annoyed at the cancelling of last man on earth, the mick, la to vegas

all the shows I currently watch :D I'm still surprised people watch shows like Big Brother, which was out performing Ghosted.

OMG how about the glorious Reaper! That show was rad. I'm SUPER disappointed this show is being cancelled. I guess we'll all have to settle for the 879th season of How I Met Your Mother, or whatever. Sorry... I haven't even watched this show! Haha... I'm just a little miffed!

Networks always do this shit. Fox did it with Firefly. ABC is the worst, they did it with Clerks the cartoon, Happy Endings, and Don't Trust the B.
