Bummer (spoilers)

Spoiler

Just watched the final episode. Not sure what happened to Merv, but I guess who gives a shit right. I liked the leads both are funny guys who play well off each other. The initial premise was good, but I feel like the last episode should have been one of the earlier episodes. Whatever that mess from 10 to 16 was, it wasnt good. Oh well, the show had promise but wasnt a fantastic show by any means.

the entire 2nd half was a mistake and i stopped caring at all when they did that stupid junk with Leroy sleeping with Annie

i have never seen a network just go to war against a show like this, it was a deliberate insult to everyone who watched it

That's interesting because Fox is famous for it

not like this

i mean yeah sometimes a show takes a wrong turn but not like this

You're right. This is particularly egregious. But I can think of several shows that got cancelled halfway through their first season.

oh yeah, hundreds of shows have been cancelled quickly, no question about that

Almost as bad as the non-existent 9th season of scrubs. It doesn't exist and if you tell me it does I won't believe you.

That said, the network was at war with scrubs as well.

I really don't understand why they made Annie kinda be a bit rude when denying the fact that she had lo it really been flirting all along, after she just sleeps with Leroy? Then she and Leroy end up together? Screams editing issues and missing scenes that weren't filmed because of cancelled production. I would have rather just had half a season.

i'm just not going to root for a friendship where one guy steals the other guy's girl. its completely artificial and then i'm supposed to like the girl too? just no. too many other shows i could be watching that are actually enjoyable

just like Killjoys, the guy's brother sleeps with the girl he's interested in and he just laughs it off like its no big deal and i was done with it right then. you've got 3 main characters and 2 of them are pieces of shit right there, why do i want to root for these people

I saw this episode at the beginning of the year. I have heard from people that the episode order should be 1-8,16,9-15. It is confusing, but I heard the show is canceled so I guess Fox didn't care about airing them in order? The same thing happened with lucifer when it first got canceled. The last 2 episodes were out of order.

the last two episodes were supposed to be in season 4 of Luci. they released them as bonus episodes since the series got cancelled

I did read that, but it's really weird how in the episodes it was never acknowledged who lucifer was. Like the season finale never happened!

It was more than likely meant for later in the season as opposed to right after. Seemingly around episode 3-4 since we didn’t see Luci or Chloe interact in those episodes so she might’ve been processing

So that was it? The shows over? I gotta say I was super confused.

Fox aired the first set of episodes partially out of order, then switched show runners before filming the last 6 or so episodes, then aired those episodes with little to no promotion and announced its cancelation before the airing of the final 2 episodes.

The show had issues to be sure, but it's hard to trust that Fox had any real faith in it to begin with anyway given their track record.

Fox is known for this shit, like the last episode, fuck happened to Merv? There is no way episode 16 is the last one, it probably should have been aired as the third of fourth one of the series. That would have set up everything for the season. It just didn’t make sense.

Fox did the same with firefly. Not saying this show is the same caliber but holy shit fox are assholes.

I'm pretty sure it was the original season ender, before it got picked up for 8 more episodes. Rather than air it as a mid-season finale, they still kept it as the season ender, probably having watched exactly 0 episodes before making the executive decision

Your wording of it is exactly what I was thinking. XD
