The New York Times has known for a while that Russiagate is bogus
Here's the translations. I didn't go over the witch hunting stuff because to the average reader, the how is not all that important. But it is there and the tweets covered are inside. This is the layman's version of events for more people to understand the implications and context. (This is also a reminder of what happens when you can't sleep and check Reddit early in the morning...) I've also edited this comment from the original so it's easier to understand.
#Synopsis
The reporter, Watkins, is the one targeted and given the 83 texts of the report for her own stories. Wolfe, the leaker, basically gets caught because... Well, he's thinking with the wrong head.
That's tweet #3.
What Wolfe is being charged with is handing classified material to a reporter. #4
#Context
The FISA court was basically sold a bill of goods on Carter Page. Linkage
All the redacted stuff? Info the FBI "acquired" to look into Carter Page and anyone close to him. The info was based on the Chris Steele dossier, which the FBI relied on heavily. But remember, they had a mole in the Trump campaign who was there for a while, among other methods to look into Trump.
What we're talking about is the wiretap, which relied on lies. What they (NYT) got through all this black tape, is the unredacted version of this.
In other words, the FBI planted a story with Yahoo, then used that story in the FISA request.
If you've been paying attention, this is basically what the Nunes memo is about. If you want to see who can see the info unredacted? That's tweet 10. Partisan politics are in play, but Obama's FBI basically committed felonies and spied illegally on the Trump campaign. FBIGate is basically in effect. They knew who leaked in tweet #13 The question was how to get a warrant on the reporter
19 - 23 are basically about leak hunting
So I got the ODNI stuff wrong. Here, they're the good guys. All the info with regards to Chris Steele and the dossier were given to them by Mark Warner and used by the FBI for the FISA warrant. Coats and Rogers were like "Shut this shit down." according to #26. They're pissed about the FBI spying on their political enemies and released a 99 page report to that effect.
This is where Mark Warner comes in. He leaked to Chris Steel on Mar 17.
Coats and Admiral Rogers, on Mar 17th, began the leak hunt mentioned above. They knew the info was mainly for the benefit of the Deep State (in this case, FBI and CIA) and to damage Trump. So that's how you get to Wolfe and Watkins.
Now to put this in context:
The Nunes memo, partisanship aside, is about the FBI being upset at Nunes going to Trump and telling them that shit on the inside be fucked against him. According to Strzok, there wasn't much there. The FBI knew this, but they went after Trump anyway. They got a bogus warrant and lied to the FISA court to spy on Carter Page. Of course, what you're going to see on Google searches is everyone trying to hold the line on the narrative. But the FBI did all this for their own ends (protect Hillary from prosecution) while they refused to look hard into the crimes of the Clintons (Which Comey knows a lot about)
They used this FISA warrant to spy harder on the Trump campaign when they had nothing to begin with, and tie him to Russia while getting Clinton off.
And the NYT knew that the FISA warrant was based on the Steele dossier, unredacted, and sat on that because Trump...
I'm not talking dates, though they're important to understand. Regardless, the NYT has ignored this aspect as they focused on the scandal of the affair where they reassigned Watkins. I don't want to go into the details of the affair, but as it stands, they did seize the communications of Ali and she was reassigned and I'll leave it at that.
As of now, the NY Times is talking about Trump and Iran and getting that wrong for their capitalist overlords.
Why anyone trusts them as they ignore major Deep State antagonisms is anyone's guess...
