| Summer Solstice I It's summer again The fire my friend I'm dying to mend Wounds sun is shining true, run and hide Cause I've got to find Protection from whom? can't help but feel I'm running from You. This not the truth This is not my root This is summer and I'm melting From you: This is not my fault, I'm in my vault And I'm Locking myself away from you Just let me sleep, Just let me breathe, Just let me be, it's the solstice of summer poison of lovers My panacea of hunger Cause i'm starving for you Just let me eat, Just let me breathe Just let me be Solstice eve I'm singing things Howling at the moon It's summer and I'm breaking my bonds of you | Summer Solstice II Wounds from whom? A note about this work:
This story tells the beginning of summer from two perspectives, the scorning lover and the lover scorned. The cool thing about this piece is the italics start the perspective of the second person, took me a lot of work to feel the flow out, but it is nice to be out of my comfort zone.
