I recently came out to my gf saying I am bisexual. She came out to me as bisexual as well. So we are both looking for partners of the same sex and still keep our relationship going. Good idea? Bad idea?

I dated a bisexual man for a couple years to hide my sexuality from my mom. He knew I was a lesbian and I knew he was bisexual. We both really wanted same sex relationships but our parents would have given us hell for it. So we ‘dated’ and we did have same sex encounters during that time period. If both parties honestly and fully consent to an open relationship then it’s okay. Monogamous relationships aren’t the norm anymore. Only one in five relationships are truly monogamous according to a study that I can’t remember the source. (Bad sourcing sorry) but if you both want to experiment and your both really totally okay with it then talk it out and maybe set ground rules.

well, plenty of people are in open relationships.
requires communication, and a particular attitude towards sex and relationships, which youse seem to have if youse are going for this.
have a chat about the parameters. some people have a no-kissing rule, others have a not in our bed rule. some people want their SO to come home from work to find them having sex in the living room (kinda my kink ;) ) think about what youse want from it and do that :)
We are bisexual swingers and we love it. We both have sex with both genders. It’s a lot of fun.

I have been down similar routes. Doesnt ever work well and i have accepted that. Guess it just isnt for me. Works well for some people though. Best of luck to you
