restless uniform
let me go back, to God i prayed
to the days where all i did was play
>
climbing the branches of a tall pine tree
sleeping on the couch in my torn onesie
>
i can't wait to get old, and build myself a home
it's just a dream i'm waiting for
reality will shake me to my core
>
the AC in church is just a little too warm
feeling confined in this restless uniform
>
i can't wait to get home and play on the floor
watch my brothers argue over the 64
>
i can't wait to get old, and build myself a home
it's just a dream i'm waiting for
reality will shake me to my core
>
watch the fan spin around, find a lighter, burn the carpet down
throw my socks to the ceiling, catch a wing and send it reeling
to the walls
>
in your leather jacket like a turtle shell, protecting me from the hail
pick me up, by the hair, and send me reeling without a care
to the walls
>
i can't wait to get old, and send you to a home,
it's just a nightmare wishing for
an end to this never ending bore
>
i can't wait to get old, and build myself a home
it's just a dream i'm waiting for
reality will shake me to my core

These are lyrics to a song I wrote. I believe lyrics should have deep meaning and stand on their own as poetry to make meaningful songs. Let me know what you think. :)
