Phone specs to run Duel Links smoothly

Discussion

Simple as title says, about to get new phone due to internal storage space always full and i was wondering which processor and RAM would run it nicely.

I sell phones for a living. I also hate iphones... I love samsung... That said, a friend of mine runs duel links faster on an iPhone 6s than I do on a galaxy s8 plus...

It's not a small difference either. He can see his hand before the coin is tossed on my screen. Annoying as hell and I'm pretty sure it's a sign that the app is optimized for IOS. (Apple software)

Probably emulated or converted to android, resulting in unnecessary strain or something.

If you ONLY want your phone to excel in duel links, consider an iPhone 8/8plus/X.

It is optimised better for Apple you're right

Duel Links for Android is built in with Xamarin. They just ported the app.

Also, compiling for iOS gives better results than compiling for Android. In iOS you have few phones to test, however in Android you have a gajillion of phones, so they just compile one universal APK and let's ART (Dalvik pre 4.4 KitKat) do the work.

I also love Android, but iOS ecosystem is better.

Yeah. The guys programming for iOS know the hardware they're apps will run on, since the newest iOS releases are generally optimized for devices from the last couple years. Android apps need to be able to be ready to run on a menagerie of hardware from manufacturers from across the globe.

Standardization, eh?

Yeah, you got it. I recommend you:

Asus Zenfone 4 Pro (last year model) for about 400~450 U$D

or

Zenfone 5Z, which is about 500~550 U$D

If you have another brand preference, go for something with at least 3 GB of RAM and cores up to 1,8~2 Mhz. I think Qualcomm+Adreno offers the best performance out there.

My phone has a snapdragon 810 and 3 GB of RAM and it runs duel links without problems. Anything above those specs should have no trouble running the game smoothly.

Duel Links is not a good benchmark for phones, because it will run well on a $100 Smartphones such as old Xperia Z or Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A, with exceptions that Duel World will load tad longer (although if you're using Day/Night cycle, transition will be always slow, even on emulator).

Either aim for high performance in 3D games or don't go too deep into that.

An iPhone SE is fairly cheap, $300-$400, and runs Duel Links fairly well and has a decent range of storage volumes.
