Glass
They say that you can fit ships in a bottle,
But me, i've only seen wrecks.
Two teens too tight on the throttle,
Allured by the scent of sex.
/
I’ve always been afraid of glass
In one way or another.
Whether in my foot, stuck fast
Or in the stories of my mother.
/
It seems to me a fact of life,
But not much of a temptation,
That every family's greatest strife
Is negating fermentation.
/
Even still my greatest fear
In my spyglass bottle neck
Seeing nary a ship near
And the land as but a speck.
