Alone with Regrets

I was a risk away from something bright

But now even the days feel like night

I was a risk away from a smile

But now I'm sunk in my own denial

Blaming myself for not taking charge

The shadows from the sadness are large

I want this feeling to end so I can learn

But I know I'll probably mess up the next turn
