A lovely gossamer veil of Light
Fills the woods and welcomes Night
Transforming leaves as Sunlight fades
To sparkling shards of shattered shades

Shimmering mosaic pieces
Fill the trees as Light decreases
And when the Day has turned to Night
The splendid colors fade from sight

But next time Twilight shadows creep
Be sure to take a reverent peep
At the alluring artistry
That Nature paints so splendidly.
