Try making a mask along where the wave is going, disappearing the straight line. On a second layer move the wave along the line with bot ends connected to either side, making the wave appear to be moving. Otherwise add a wave warp effect to the single line layer and edit it to be that one sharp line, then key frame it to move along in the direction and speed that you like. Hope this helps!

Hey there, 

Need some quick pointers from this awesome community.  Trying to make a wave pattern along a stroke. The challenge is that it is not a traditional sin wave, instead it is more like a ekg wave that moves along the stroke.

Most tutorials involve drawing a path and the wave part remains static. Instead, it should move along the line.
