Star Among the Sky
There once was but a girl, She loved among this world
Beautiful she seemed, She practically would gleam
Loving and so kind, She practically was divine
A heart of solid gold, She could be oh so bold
But to her own dismay, And unfortunate as it may
She was being used by the rest, Never finding subtle rest
Those she called friends, Were sometimes stupid men
They acted super nice, But they were always on thin ice
She always smiled back, And just took their bullcrap
But this made her cry into the night, Only to smile at dawn's early light
Perhaps she didn't know it, But there was a certain poet
And when he saw her pain, He knew she was not to blame
He tried to make her smile, It's all he wanted for a while
She would laugh and enjoy her day, The poet loved when she was this way
But no matter the friendly jest, She sometimes was still depressed
Her heart would start to sink, Her mind teetered on the brink
And so this star among the sky, Would still begin to cry
