Reach out

A first impression isn't always right

and taking time to know someone is hard.

When you can move beyond what is polite,

you might be able to let down your guard.

To put yourself into a stranger’s hands

requires courage not all will possess.

But maybe there's someone who understands

the pain in you that's caused by loneliness.

Reach out and open up to someone new.

You're not alone in anything you feel.

While they might have a different point of view,

at least you both can try to keep it real.

Perspective is a gift that they can give.

So why not take the chance and learn to trust?

Relationships can be transformative.

The willingness to grow will be a must.
