An Ultimatum

It was never an original thought

Something so complex could not

Have come from his mind.

For it was planted there

By the outspoken individuals

Who wish to quarrel with someone like me.

Graduation & full time 40 hours

Chasing utilization of my degree

In a place that's just not good enough

Only trying to remain close to you.

And now, a potential ultimatum?

As your search begins too

But, you wish to go everywhere, anywhere

And I chose to stay local--

Right here, close to you

And if I don't "get out" of here

by 2019

I may just lose her too
