I watched a playthrough where both of those options were chosen and Marlon just looks defeated and drops the gun instead

It doesn’t matter what you choose, the same ending always happens. It’s honestly bullshit that they do this, why can’t they just put a little more effort? Maybe make an ending of keeping marlon alive?

Is it possible for Marlon to commit suicide instead of being killed by AJ? I'm guessing not, but it occurred to me during the argument as towards the end you get options for things like "He's a coward." or "You're so pathetic." I didn't opt for those choices, but I was wondering that if you had hurled enough insults at him that it would push him over the edge in that moment.
