Bungie, please dont make Y1 armor inferior

The decision to not only exclude random rolls on Y1 gear, even those pieces recreated via the collections, as well as the decision to flat out remove mod slots from this gear feels like a huge slap in the face to everyone who has been playing this game from the start even through the recent rough times especially those closer to the initial launch. This feels like a deliberate attempt to devalue all of the gear people spent hours, days, and in some cases weeks to earn, only to incentivize purchase of Forsaken. Bungie, by removing both mods and perks from this gear, you are not only making this stuff that people who supported you (when you probably didnt deserve it) worked hard for, but you are also letting some really great armor designs go to a complete waste while cutting players' cosmetic options for their characters in half!

If you are unable to implement rolls on this gear, for whatever reason that could be, I still dont know why you want to take away the mod slots completely as well! You guys are willing to let us infuse this gear but at the same time nerf it all into the ground and make it arguably unusable to any player trying to take advantage of the new mod and perk systems? Why? Can we at least get some justification for this aside from some vague technical excuse? And if you are unable to make our gear we have spent the last year obtaining worth using, can you consider implementing a form of transmog system similar to WoW and many other games currently available? This way we can simply make our new gear look like gear that has been tracked in our collections and never have to worry about this ridiculous issue again? People want their Eververse, Escalation Protocol, and Solstice sets to be relevant and they should be! Please dont throw away both your designers' hard work as well as that of the players who stuck with you and love this game and franchise!!
