Grandpa's Visit

Grandpa’s coming here today.

His visits are so great.

He’ll get down on the floor to play.

We hope he won't be late!

He'll make a yummy meal or two

or maybe we’ll go out.

He’d love to have some barbecue

though it upsets his gout.

Grandpa always understands

and smiles at messy chins.

We'll play some games of Candyland.

He'll let the children win.

We love it when his visits start.

We hope our hugs will show

we love Grandpa with all our hearts.

We're sad when he must go.
