The Bed Game

Allie and May played together a lot.

Pretending to go into space,

they’d get on a bed and become astronauts

who traveled all over the place.

Planet Limargo was windy and wet

while Planet Tootilly was dry.

Their favorite planet was Fortootiyet

where spaceships were made out of pie.

Alien life forms like Pantakiluks

would play hide and seek endlessly

and like them were creatures called Garniatuks

who’d hide from them under a sea.

Muzpans were merry; they'd carry a pail

of marshmallows up a high hill.

There they would eat every one without fail

Then they'd go down and refill.

Nifteenians’ grouchiness wasn't so nice,

They always shouted a lot

though you couldn't blame them as they were all ice

and Planet Nifteenia’s hot.

Allie and May would imagine and play,

the bed was their trusty spaceship.

When time was up at the end of the day,

they'd say “Hey, when’s the next trip?”
