T(hank) Y(ou) for the L(ove) Y(ous)

Feedback Received!

This is an edited piece that I already posted. I got some really good feedback on the last one and decided to try to make it more clear. Thanks for reading!

to the lady in checkout line 3.

Personally?

I don't need your sympathy.

or your false sense of empathy.

because the people in disparity

don't need your prayers

to god.

you hate us for our sexuality

and addicted personalities

shaming us for developing through adversity

and bad habits.

I complicate the reality

you set up,

because you never experienced

the inhumanity

that you profoundly

declare war on

in your community.

and respectfully

I have to be honestly

unnerved by your intellectuality

as you say with closed mouths confessionally

that we don't have the

inexplicable capability

to survive.

as if you don't have a clue realistically

of what it takes to go through predominantly

classist natures and mentally ill'd stigmas.

They subliminally

pop themselves up

as occasionally

you're inconvenienced by my arguably

honest and irrationally

taken words.

and you hazard a guess to my unseasonably

unreasonably

short skirt.

I'm out here working with my bodily

autonomy

and sensuality.

your righteously

psuedo-christian values validate your remarkably

hateful words.

religiously

you're obligated to impose

and unmistakably

you judge my promiscuity

based on my apparently

undressed clothes.

but I face adversity,

and uncharacteristically

I speak up,

open my mouth and effectively

tell you off.

you're momentarily

disturbed, as if I'm not really

stepping forward saying fuck you to your standardly

white fenced and pool in the back yard nose.

that you raise up accordingly

having been forwardly

and necessarily

exposed for your indisputably

intolerant ability

to raise yourself up for your natural heredity

and birth.

I throw my hands up at the vanity

of your sarcastically

laughable place of humanity

and charitably

misplaced morality.

that you discuss factually

with your local PTA.

because you'll never know

what it means to

survive.
