bougainvilleas and a street light
the long sleeves hold half her hands
her glasses when i graze her lips
hairs when i want her cheeks
resigned. lost in world of everyday
see a streak of blue light
on cue, the corners of her lips make a smile
it grows over her mouth. her face. and whole of her, and drowns me
staggered, lost in time, between her bosoms -
the sleeves, glasses, and hairs now a distant past.
us together. and with love like a round green pebble.
i close my eyes to bougainvilleas and a street light
