The Snake In You

The culture’s torture. It’s taught us all to float between the torches

We shine on the borders that reward us, so we deplore us.

Behind us we see a sea of forces that caused it,

Smushed us, forced us by our orders into borders not sought of.

And it sort of rewards us, with reports of enforcement

Of the abortion of borders, fed by boundless courses,

Seducing murderous corps, distraught at the thoughts of opposite forces.

Now there’s serpentine daughters, Saturnite fathers,

Medusas, marauders, soliloqual posters,

At their source are atrocious, suspicious,

Now engorged with clean dishes from consuming your wishes.

False sincerity astounds us; pure insanity unbounded,

Resulting in forces that come to support us, who suppose that:

You’re a pit of snakes and you are the causes.

Start closer to home so it’s safe to grow slow,

Don’t sow what you saw if you’re not really sure.

You have a soul; be sincere. Calm your sea; make it clear

With seductive debates that astound mental states.

Don't stop loving you, because it’s a culture to hate.

Anyway, let’s not debate, I'm just saying you do you,

So say sayonara to an inadequate view - slither off
