Parking near Spruce Street?

My girlfriend just moved into a building on Spruce Street. Is there any street parking available where I won’t get ticketed?

She used to live on James and I’d just park on Ezra, but now I have no clue where to park. Any tips, or even a parking map would be great.

Overnight parking tips would be appreciated as well, thank you!

KW is kinda crap for overnight parking lots. You can park on some streets overnight, if you get an exemption. To get an exemption, you can either phone in your license plate (519-747-8559) or download the Pingstreet app to register your license plate for exemption. Unfortunately, you can only get an exemption 15 times per year and I'm guessing during the snowy seasons you can't park on the street. Here's the link to the City of Waterloo's page on overnight street parking: https://www.waterloo.ca/en/government/overnightparking.asp

I did that last night, but it seems that the parking rules in Waterloo are all over the place. James Street is a dead end street, and you still couldn’t park there between 8am-6pm. I would come after 6pm, register my car, and then have to move it before 8am the next day.

I’m more or less just looking for somewhere I can park overnight (like a residential street) where I won’t get nailed with a ticket.

Observe the signs when you drive into town - there is no overnight parking permitted on any city street. Those 15 exceptions will give you a few exceptions and luck might help you out, but there's no street where it's permitted freely.

Yes, I realize that and know about registering my car with the City of Waterloo Overnight Parking.

I’m just wondering which streets that are close-ish to Spruce are okay to park on. Spruce is a no parking zone all the way down the street.
