Influenced

Back's attached to the wall by a spike

Cornered onto steel grating,

uncomfortably edging against my skin.

And another layer of frustration appears.

I heard we're not leaving until Thursday.

The bandage peels just one more inch.

Yeah, the wound still reeks.

And the river's still flowing too,

freshly stocked by the salmon run.

Isn't it amazing how trapped we are

in Industry,

when They're only worried about a cycle?

I've been influenced.

My window's been rolled down for half a minute,

just enough time to upset me.

And yet they never meet their children.

Quite like how I've never met my sister.

Except it applies to everyone.
