Not sure how I feel about the whole "imaginary protector" concept but everything about this looks terrifying and I can't wait! Hopefully, by some strange will of the universe, we get another season from this.

I think we should all try to give this season our full attention (views) and help advertise. This may turn out to be one of the best seasons and the world needs more Channel Zero! I hear your scepticism about the imaginary friend aspect but I think this could be a great way for the show to explore more about Tulpa (monsters created by thoughts) and they do always take the original story and take it for a spin.

Apparently I've heard Candle Cove was a pretty big hit on Shudder, so hopefully, even if it's cancelled on Syfy, Shudder will continue the show.

I feel like the show is cheap enough to produce that Shudder would at the very least consider it.

That's really good to hear, I had heard it was doing successful over there. I don't always trust channels to pick up another show once it's been cancelled. ABC Family was supposed to take over Girl Meets World and it never happened, but I do like the optimism. I guess my worry is that if it's cancelled at all it'll be harder to continue if that makes sense. We know the viewership hasn't been the best recently and I think that this show seriously lacks advertisment but this season is dropping right near Halloween so if we all watch and get other to watch we could try and give it a good boost and hopefully the numbers will show. But, I am just one person, although my house got SYFY again so there will be at least one more household viewing.

There was all that buzz about Amazon picking up Hannibal too :(

This looks so fucking wonderful.
I was worried when I read the story, because I thought.. hey... SATAN/Evil in a basement, in an impossible room. Wow. So scary.
But then I see this. And I'm just blown away by Nick, every god damn time. Why this show isn't as big as it deserves to be KILLS me, but at least we'll have 4 of the best seasons of original, creative horror television ever created.

I completely agree! This show definitely does not get the attention it deserves. It is hands down way better than AHS, but it seems no one has heard of it.

but it seems no one has heard of it.
Kind of like the television show Candle Cove. >:)

In dream theory your home represents your mind and when you find hidden doors and rooms they represent the parts of yourself that you keep hidden, from everyone including yourself.

An imaginary friend. I was not expecting that. Really excited about this one.

After how good Butcher's Block was, my anticipation for Dream Door is really high. The trailer looks promising, especially with how creepy the imaginary friend is (That snapshot alone -shudder-.)
I also love the exterior design for the house. The symmetry (especially of the doors and windows) is really aesthetically pleasing.

Which story is this one based off of?

I found a hidden door in my cellar...

Here's a link to the original nosleep story if anyone wants to read it:

Wow I didn’t think they could do nosleep content since Reddit also “owns” anything that’s on there if it wasn’t already published. A guy on writing prompts got a movie deal and the company backed out due to the legal grey area.
1
Butcher's Block was (loosely) based on a NoSleep story as well

I had no idea about Reddit owning what you post if you post it only on Reddit, or even if it's a grey area. As a writer who has an upcoming multi-part nosleep story I guess I'll have to post somewhere else first where I retain the rights.

That's because it was on Creepypasta site first before Reddit.

Thank you!

Needs more Steven Weber. I love him.

Yay I'm so excited!!!!!

This is absolutely hype. Channel Zero is my favorite time of the year!
5
Ah! This season looks amazing the imaginary friend looks so unsettling the way he moves is so unnerving. I feel like this may be my favorite season yet!
5
Is that Tommy Taffy? D:
5
Holy fuck, this show just gets better every season
5
I’m very happy to see that it’s almost here.

Yikes!! I am hoping this season is as unnerving as the trailer but also that I can get through it and that I will be able to rewatch it because tbh I had to bail on No End House and I was wayyy to grossed out by Butchers Block to rewatch it (both of those are compliments of the highest form, I am tough to creep out!)

I'm so into it. This looks dope.
4
The stairs that lead to the basement and the basement itself are exactly how I imagined them when I read the story, cool.

Fantastic!

I'm so excited for this season. I caught on to the channel zero series late, so I got lucky and binged them all, but waiting for the new season has been dragging! So glad we get a new season so soon! The trailer looks super creepy, so I can't even imagine what the show will be like!

Beat me to it by a minute.
Honestly this looks fucking horrific. The way the thing moves alone is nightmare inducing. I can't wait.
I can't wait either. Looks so good & creepy!
