Give It A Rest

I need to give it a rest

Just one night off

It’d be for the best

Get my shit back to normal

And this weight off my chest

But I can’t give it up at all

Each night it seems to haunt me

This desire to have another

This need to feel free

A light head with heavy thought

My medicine for these feelings

These feelings I never sought

I wish it were healthy 

So I wouldn’t feel sick 

But each night I feel great 

And each morning it hits me like a brick

Just one night off

It’d be in my best interest

One night, yeah right 

Give it a rest.
