Convert Masterwood to modern controller

I build speakers and stereo equipment. I have a garageworkx 4x4 cnc at home, Mach 3 controlled. I often work with a cabinet shop, and they have an old Masterwood Speedy 315, which runs but has very little program memory. Has anyone converted to run modern controls, or is it possible to have the Masterwood dos programs reference a network drive?

That machine has more than enough memory for panel work. I have converted a similar vintage machine, I have a engineering degree, It too me about a year including the upgrades and cost $25,000. There is a ton of technical hurdles to overcome, if you are asking question likely you dont have the expertise, not saying you couldnt do it, but the learning curve would be immense. Cost and time you would be better served spending $20k-$45k on a modern machine.

If your looking to convert it to running with Mach3 I suggest you review this. https://youtu.be/VtdUtbKAncs

Any machine can be retrofitted usually well within a budget pending its realistic.
