Grace SDAC is back at Massdrop
The regular SDAC is back in stock at Massdrop and is shipping quickly. If you need a basic USB powered DAC, this is a pretty good choice.

Should I get this or the topping d30. I'm using the dac in my monoprice usb amp/dac, but I'm planning to bring for my laptop to school. I would be pairing with the O2 amd fostex mk III.

The D30 has a lot more features, including three different types of input, and 24bit/192kHz support, which the SDAC lacks. The D30 also has an external power supply, which some people prefer, though the SDAC doesn't have a great deal of noise.
If any of the extra features of the D30 appeal to you and you can afford the extra $40, get it. I believe a head to head test between the two DAC's would yield no differences in the quality of the sound.

Perfect set and forget, likely never need to upgrade USB DAC. Very tempting.

Waited for so long until I couldn't wait and got D10. From the surface of it, D10 measurements seems a bit better and supports dsd. Oh well...

Does anyone know if this works with iOS devices without a powered hub in between?

Any idea what type of Micro USB the rear connector is? Looks like a Micro B, but I want to be extra sure.
I heard the bundled cable sucks, so I figured I pick up something from PrimeCables while they have their sale going on as well.

It is a USB 2 Micro B. I've never had any issues with the cable that is provided with the SDAC.

Yes, but the SDAC is special. It's the only cheap DAC that both SBAF AND ASR like.
Too true. I've lingered around both, but how would you describe the general vibe of SBAF vs ASR?
I don't really hang around SBAF much. There's a few good modding posts and stuff, but at times they can be... extremely immature, and that really turned me off from looking any further into the site.
What, you mean sending around a Topping D30 with "Fuck Amir" on it isn't a sign of maturity?
how does it compares to ODAC?
SDAC has a slight edge in measurements, and it's cheaper than the ODAC as well.
MD SDAC + O2 is up too~
