Red light

I saw her cross for one split second

our eyes met and I felt a gift, heaven

it was like a silent film, I was thrilled

laughing, hugging, later... something

we fought, we cried, all over nothing

truly a breath of fresh air, her and me

I wonder if she saw what I see in her in me

odds are I was looking like a creep!

everything in between flashed before my eyes

a daydream where she was surely mine

I felt a connection, perplexed with

wanting more, a needing feeling

oh well ... who knows

maybe in the next life

this is only a test drive.
