God is Dying

God is not Dead

Not Yet at Least

There are struggling breaths

Screaming up and down his chest

As he prays for final rest -

the same God who answered prayers.

But who will answer his?

Shouldn’t they? He answered theirs.

The end seems to be soon

Day waits upon the moon

But glimpses still are seen

Of the I Am that had been

I wonder: Does God himself know?

When he is destined to go...

For I am certain God isn’t Dead

But he sure as hell is dying
