We can't blame Xûr for sucking.

Xûr has been selling old Exotics, nothing useful for people who only want Forsaken Exotics, nothing new and exciting, nothing interesting.

But think about it, think about how few new Exotics we get. The drop rates are horrendous and the chance of getting something new is even smaller. I can imagine his job just got a lot harder..

Every Friday he has to shamefully go to his assigned spot and try to sell us old Exotics, just to get by, just to try and make a bit of a living. Getting the few shards he needs to infuse his 34th Edge Transit.

Woud you want to be found if you know you've failed your precious Guardians once again, would you put up an Icon on their map? I wouldn't, I'd get rid of that and hope they never do find me.. Make it as hard as possible, move around every week.

Imagine, every week they find you on the 5th Planet they visited, a spark of hope in their eyes, but their hearts heavy and ready for disappointment at the same time.. They look at your inventory and.....

you did it again. You let them down again.

If only RNGsus would be kinder, would be merciful, but no.. He was merciless, like the Merciless that he gave you for the Nightfall you did this past week.

And after working hard through the entire week, Raiding with idiots on LFG, trying to find a group in the Blind Well to no avail. Doing all the Milestones with nothing to show for it. Losing the round where the Malfeasance Chimera finally did spawn.

(oh man, you were going to sell them that gun. That Malfeasance. You were the shortcut, the Legend who was going to sell them a Quest Exotic to make it easier on them.

But no, you lost that round and that dream shatters like you did when you got hit by the Sleeper over and over.)

After their scolding, you watch them walk away in anger and sadness as you wait the whole weekend, in the same spot, to get back on that grind. You wait there just to get the few shards from new players. At least they appreciate what you have to offer.. Their happiness warms your heart, exactly what you needed. A break from all th-- And then another Veteran player bursts in and stomps that fire out, crushes your soul.. You accept this fate, keep up the mysterious sharade and wait until you do it all over again, and again, and again.

Every week..

You can't blame Xûr, it's RNGsus that did it to him, to us. Xûr is doing his very best like we all are, but it is RNGsus that has Forsaken everyone, including Xûr.

I don't blame Xur, I blame the people who demand he not sell the rest of us gear because they want the orgasmic experience of not getting it for weeks and then having it drop because they believe other people having it ruins the experience.

yeah I can see where they're coming from, but I disagree with them too, I don't want to be teased so it's better when it does finally drop. I'll be happy whenever I get it. That's the whole point, I want to have it..

Which is what I've been saying for 4 years lol, I just want to use the gear, not get off on having it drop. But they're surprised when we get upset with them. Things could be balanced, they have the option to not buy from xur and wait for a drop, I can buy it and play with it. Everyone gets what they want, or not as the case may be. But no, they insist that other people having the gear cheapens it, makes them less special snowflakes, so no one can have the gear while they chase it.

That experience is overrated. I’d rather be having fun with the new exotics. I was not one the many that like the idea of exotic autoerotic asphyxiation. And honestly the dupes has killed any excitement when that yellow engram plops. I know it’s going to be another Otherside, there is no anticipation, there is no mental foreplay about what’s in the box. It’s a yellow pile of disappointment. I don’t think I would even get excited if what I want, Ursa Furiosas actually dropped for me.

I would make them work, regardless of the roll, I’ve run the raid with multiple other Titan mains that have them, and are using hammers for Suro Chi, smh, meanwhile me and Code of the Commander and old ugly doom fangs slay everything in sight.

Oh sure, it's not like I wouldn't use them, but with how rare they are I'd still be disappointed they didn't synergize with actually good weapons I want to use.

Thats not exactly it. It was bc exotics dropped so commonly in YR1 that everyone had the same thing equipped all the time. Duplicates are a part of any RNG system, of course doesnt make them suck any less. Ive never felt that someome having an exotic i dont ruins it for me, thats a pretty casual mindset. I just didn't want to see everyone habe every new exotic 2 weeks in like in YR1.

I'm just pissed off at the few titans that get an overshield, a full heal, and a damage boost for winning their ones, and a tracker before they win it. It's like Bungie said, "Wormhusk is a problem, so let's tack foetracer onto it, and add an overshield and persistent damage boost, but give it to the class that already has the best movement and melee in the game."

That's the big issue for Bungie, I think, you can't please everyone, but they try to. And they seem to listen to streamers and such a lot, so I've heard, and they play it all the time. They don't shouldn't represent the entire playerbase

there is a strong following for streamers for some reason, they will downvote anything thats critical of them. The no-lifers got it going while people with occupation or family are left without enough time to deal with the super heavy grind.

Yea well xur is still trying to charge year 2 prices for last years stuff. I mean, imagine paying for the old xbox at new xbox prices. And he sells the stuff everyone already has, its like selling 10 copies of Destiny 1, and 1 copy of GTA 5, and 1 copy of Halo/God of War. We all got it.

Preach. D1Y1 Exotic Drop rate was even worse. I hunted for my then PS4 exclusive Monte Carlo for 9 solid months.

As someone still missing half the year 1 exotics (especially the ones from the first 2 addons) since I only played about a month or two after launch before getting bored of Vanilla D2, I look forward to Xur every week since coming back with Forsaken.

Few weeks ago he had Crimson that was super awesome.

I remember that shit. That was honestly a fun week for me. Crucible was entertaining because it was just funny af to get beamed to death in 1 second.

As a person who bought the PC version of the game right before Forsaken...

I really appreciate that I can catch up on old exotics thanks to him. If I couldn’t, the exotic grind would take FOREVER.

That's kinda the same boat people with all the Y1 exotics are in though, no? I've only gotten one non-quest forsaken exotic, and it was for an extra dodge charge, which doesn't really synergize with any of my playstyles, so it feels worthless to me.

I’m not saying the current system is god for everyone, just for me, having just bought a new account. I haven’t gotten the Forsaken exotics I want yet but I want to keep playing to get them.

And yes, I made this account right around when Rise of Iron came out. Loved the Death Zamboni

I still buy from him even if I already have the exotic because they come with the random rolls. Imagine getting something on your Warlock like Lunafaction Boots with Distribution (before they make the change to the perk) without having to rely on getting them as a drop.

Xur isn't RNG. Bungie sets his inventory manually, or adjusts it after rolling the items.

As a new pc player (been a console player for 4 years) I find Xur helpful, trying to collect all the exotics (pre forsaken of course).

I hated it before Forsaken when Xur just gave everyone everything for free, that took all excitement out of getting an exotic engram. Everyone had everything right away.

Now, I hate it that Xur is useless and we never get any new exotics to drop.

There is a middle ground, and Bungie is charactaristically horrible at finding it. They go to one extreme or the other, every time, in everything.
