Close my eyes

Open my eyes

I’m on my way to work. The regal brightness of the sun, but I see no color.

Open my eyes

I’m at work. The piercing brightness of the fluorescent office lights, but I see no color.

The brightness of the computer screen weighing down on my eyes, but still no color.

Close my eyes

Open my eyes

I’m back home. The caressing brightness of her smile. But I can’t see her color.

​

Close my eyes

Keep them closed

Drift away into a sea of thoughts. Open my minds eye. Color. Everywhere.
