Holy shit, if that wasn't some of the most disturbing sexual symbolism I've seen in a show. The dialogue, the breathing, and then Pretzel Jack explodes into white liquid after he "releases"the husband. Wow.

This entire season is very Freudian.

Ian you had to make it creepy. Well, creepier.

That eerie music in the scene where Ian ate in the car sure took a rather unexpected turn.

That scene was really jarring and bizarre and just gross.

Is that how he recharges his ability?

that’s what i was thinking. he talks about how controlling your character drains you and take a lot out of you. i saw it as a way he knows to regain from that.

That crunch scene gave me chills after chills

Did anyone else notice the No-End House easter egg? There were memory balls inside Pretzel Jack's old body in the beginning of the episode.

Yeah, the “tumors” and their provenance seem to be halfway between the “cannibals” of No-End House and the way Eddie Painter could manifest Candle Cove. Perhaps Channel Zero is working toward a shared universe?

Idk why but him eating in the car was the creepiest shit ever haha I get why he was doing it to get more energy so he can make his monster again but still

I have to say the episodes without pretzel jack feel sort of empty, even though it would have been hard to maintain his character without getting too repetitive. I need more happy hands after these murders, people. Tall Boy is a poor substitute.

Tall Boy was dramatically let down by his design. I’m kind of surprised that with all the striking and memorable monsters in this show (including Pretzel Jack himself), the big bad monster here is literally just a tall dude with zombie eyes. I was half expecting some kind of deformed foam monster with the Gumby cameo in Ep 2

While I agree it's somewhat underwhelming, I'm pretty sure the point is that Tall Boy looks like their father. And the fact that Pretzel Jack also has the same hair seemed to be a deliberate decision to visually represent their shared family trauma as the genesis of the emotional manifestations.

Can my imaginary friend be a slick lawyer that sues for damages and never loses?

Ian and Jillian are the freakin' Wonder Twins! Make that Wonder Twins with Benefits.

6
goplacidlyamidst•

That actor always can be counted on to wear some terrible hairpiece!
