All Things Considered
At night, I pray to you, God,
And I ask,
Am I praying for the wrong things?
And if I don't believe in you, God,
Do you listen to me anyways?
And you laugh and tell me,
It's alright
You've believed in magic all along
Look around
I find it
At the zoo
The panda cub and his bamboo
The spectacled bear
And his funny patch of hair
The hump on the grizzly's back
I find it
In a cab
I say, driver, sure was drab
In Seattle but the sun here
Is helping me have fun here
As I get my life on track
I find it
In a sandwich joint
Fries with aioli are on point
An old friend's grin
Slaw on my chin
There is nothing that I lack
Next morning, I'm up
I'm up to the smell of sunshine and dill
And I'm not complaining
