Beneath The Shadows

Feedback Received!

A featureless reflection when gazed upon with only the eyes,

Like silently changing wind, time continues to fly,

Despite your best efforts, from me you’ll never escape

Does turning away from a mirror hide your true shape?

choose to be still and face either east or west

But ignorance only delays the heaviness in your chest

But truth is sure to strike, just like the hour of 12...

For you to truly see, into the self you must delve

It’s darkness will hide the nature of its being

For it is not with your eyes it demands to be seen

The journey is slow but will temper your soul

Like the roots of a rose slowly boring holes

The deeper the reach, the more room to grow

Complex and beautiful aren’t always on show

But you can never have one without the other

So fear not your shadow or the mirror my brother...
