Uncover
Inhaling dust and old paint,
I dream of colours and shapes,
gaze upon a marble of great
significance. A blanket
of silence brushes my cheek.
Upon a cottage cosy and quaint
falls next the gaze. Grapes
and golden trees await
us. A soft blanket
of surprise caresses the skin.
I hear the murmur of a saint.
Surely, he wears drapes
impressing with their weight.
Impressive blankets
of great significance.
Outside, I begin to breathe
again.
(blankets have been lifted)
A new world
ready for me to take
in. An outburst of colours.
I close my eyes again.
Note: You will have to imagine the 4th line of the last stanza to be indented (the line is supposed to start where the second line of the stanza ends, but reddit won't let me format it this way).
