Just Peachy Mattes look, CCW!

Followed a KathleenLights tutorial for this palette, and although I like how it turned out, I feel like winged out shadow just sort of doesn't work for my eye shape, and honestly I'm not even sure what my eye shape is, but I'm pretty sure I'm slightly hooded and downturned. Any CC on any part of this is welcome!

Products used: UD Primer Potion, Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes eye palette, Korres Greek Yogurt Smoothie moisturizing primer, Revlon Colorstay in Sand Beige, Tarte Shape Tape in Light (under eyes) and Light Neutral (face), Coty Airspun, Becca Songbird blush, Becca Champagne Pop highlighter, L'Oreal Color Riche lipstick in Jennifer's Nude, Milani dewy setting spray, Tarte Maneater mascara

I feel like your eyes are almost identical to mine in shape. I don't think they are technically hooded, but instead I feel like we both have a prominent brow bone, which makes our eyes sort of deep set on the top but not on the bottoms, if that makes sense. It kind of makes the area above the mobile eyelids look puffy. But there is still some visible lid space. I don't think they are downturned at all - if I put a piece of paper along your eye corners it is pretty much straight across. Rather, I think that extra skin above the eye makes them appear a little droopy on the outside corners. I try not to go to dark in that area, as I think it exaggerates the droopy effect. I'd love to hear from some other people, because I could probably apply your eye advice to myself.

YES EXACTLY. We probably do have the same eye shape, because I agree about everything you said. I think I'm confusing the fold of skin on the top for being down turned. I just have a bunch of flesh up there. I usually do a darker outer third on the eyes, but I don't often wing it out this much, because like I said, I don't feel like it quite works for my eye shape.

Yes, I’d say they’re deep set!

Nice work! My first thought when seeing it, without having read your text first was that it looked really good and professional. Thumbs up from me!

Aw thanks! That’s nice to hear.

I think this looks great! Maybe try to bring it ever so slightly higher towards your brow. It might look a little unbalanced because the shape is extra elongated from your actual eye but about the same height, if that makes sense? I do genuinely think it looks nice as is though!

So after everyone here said deep set, I started searching makeup for deep set eyes, and everything I found suggested bringing color closer to your actual brow, and I think it's a good suggestion and I'm definitely going to try it. Thanks!
