Can you disable printing on Chromebooks to certain printers?

Early this year we had some students print to our Treasurer's printer so we decided to disable printing from Chromebooks until we have a solution. They are currently only able to print from the 6 laptops we have setup in the Media Center, but that gets extremely crowded the day a paper is due.

We want to make it so students can only print to one or two printers in the school, but also able to use their home printer. So I guess my question is if there's a way to black list printers?

Disable local discovery protocol/port from the Student Chromebook Subnet/VLAN to the Printer Subnet/VLAN (if they are on separate VLANs). Then manually add them via the Admin Dashboard > Native Chrome OS Printers to the chromebooks/users. This adds them via IP.

Any discovery protocol is inherently insecure on shared networks. You can keep them broadcasting on the staff/faculty network, just stop letting it get to the student network.

How are they printing to printers in the school now? Local printing? Cloud Print Service? Printers shared to the users?

Local discovery I believe. All we knew at the time was suddenly Chromebooks found tons of printers on the network that they couldn't see before.

A CUPS server can give you access restrictions and quotas https://www.cups.org/
