Origami

I never knew

how hard it was

to fold paper cranes.

Following folding cues,

1 fold, 2 folds, 3 folds,

ten-folds harder than paper planes.

​

I creased and unfolded

repetitively, thoroughly,and obsessively,

'til it drove me insane.

​

It's probably because I never knew

how hard it was

to fold the vivid memories of you away.
