❗ PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING ❗
Reminder about censoring posts:
A lot of users seem to be confused about Rule 1 [transcript], so I'm here to clarify and hopefully won't have to remove so many submissions.
This is how you should be censoring your posts.
Posts censored with the highlight function are NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED.
This is what you NEED to be censoring:
PHOTOS
- PROFILE/USER PHOTO
- this includes Discord user photos, and any other icon
- IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE PHOTO IS OF THEMSELVES OR NOT, *IT STILL NEEDS TO BE CENSORED*
- Nudes
- do not crudely color over the photo so I can still clearly make out their peener.
- you didn't want to see that, I def don't want to, either
- do not crudely color over the photo so I can still clearly make out their peener.
- Selfies
- their face and any identifying landmarks need to be censored
- any identifying features (tattoos, piercings, scars) need to be censored as well
NAMES
- User/Screen Names
- while we do not require that you censor your Reddit username, if your screenshot is from another social platform and your username is not the same as your Reddit handle, it must be censored as well
- censor usernames belonging to a third party that isn't a public figure
- Legal Names
- we request that you censor both their last and first names
- you do not have to censor your own name, but we recommend you do so
- Display Names/Nicknames
- if it's a nickname or display name you set yourself—that isn't their real name—it does not need to be censored
- if it's a display name that is public, it does need to be censored
- regardless of whether or not it's their "real" name
- for apps like Snapchat, if they have a display name set and not their username showing, it does not need to be censored, but we prefer that it was.
MISC.
- Locations
- we prefer that you censor out locations on apps like Tinder and MeetMe
- any locations mentioned in their messages
- e.g., if they plainly say, "i live in x"
- Job/Career
- if the creep mentions where they work, the name of the business, etc.
- URLs
- links to selfies or other photos of themselves
- links to any social media or website they have
If you would like an explanation as to why we have these rules, you can read it here.
If you have any questions or concerns, message the mods.
