Life Got In The Way

A doctor, lawyer, or superstar,

Perhaps I'll drive a racing car.

It was all before me every day.

But somehow life got in the way.

There's still time, of course there is.

I'll become a business wiz!

But now there's kids and bills to pay.

It sucks, but life got in the way.

Only now with wizened eyes,

Do I finally realize.

While life was getting in the way,

I missed the best parts of the play.
