Nightmares strangle the unwary in the downpour, the deeper it sinks

Old bastard downs rum, Hook pillages Neverland

There are no fairy tales when he walks out the door, the deeper it sinks

Jagged reef threatens the lonely bow,

Black sails sighted, all hands to oar, the deeper it sinks

Scales yearn for sailors, beneath

fractured eyes glimpse the floor, the deeper it sinks

​

Slippery suckers clasp at supple prey

Descend, morsels devoured by claw, the deeper it sinks

​

Europe bleeds on beaches torn, crimson

swells in the waves - nineteen forty-four, the deeper it sinks

​

Anchored to the gravel, no way to shatter the chain

alone on the seesaw, the deeper it sinks

​

Oh Will, what have you done?

Dropped a single orchid, to drown in Singapore, the deeper it sinks
