No. They were only elected in the first place to punish the corrupt PCs

So now you think we should allow them to be replaced by even more corrupt Non-P C's?

If Alberta isn't allowed to have a strong second party, we are pretty much just saying that if the government gets TOO visible with it's corruption we will give them a 4 year time out so they can collect their sweet legislator pensions while double dipping on consulting fees with their corporate buddies.

The corruption is going to get so much worse.

It’s not happening. NDP will not be voted in again. If you want the long answer as to why, ask Mr Google

The UCP is leading in every demographic and every region save one. The NDP has some serious soul searching to do to figure out a clear path to victory.

remember that the NDP were voted in due to people being angry at the cons. the wild rose only had traction in rural areas. the NDP will lose this election against a united right, despite doing some pretty good governing despite the various set backs and as a new government did pretty good.

only thing i can see ruining UCP's election results is if they do atrociously at the debate and another wildrose are racists scare happens. Edmonton has alwayse had old strathcona (university of alberta area) as the orange isle, so this a reverse to the norm.

the only thing i feel about UCP is that they took on the worse points of both parties, with social conservative right (wildrose) and conservative complacency. so we'll see what happens in the future.

Alberta has some soul searching to do for even considering giving the UCP power again.

Lowest debt, best infrastructure, lowest taxes, cheap housing, highest wages... yeah AB shits on the rest of the country. If being 'smart' is what every other lacklustre province is doing I don't wanna be smart. Enjoy your revolving door of kathleen wynnes.

...stupider...

Made my night right there.

It's not a ucp blue wall stopping Alberta's ndp. Alberta's ndp simply can not get far enough away from their federal leader.

They can't turn off the pipes. It's illegal. The same section of the constitution that prevents Ottawa from controlling Alberta's oil or taxing it also prevents cutting off the taps to other provinces.

Export from provinces of resources

  1. In each province, the legislature may make laws in relation to the export from the province to another part of Canada of the primary production from non-renewable natural resources and forestry resources in the province and the production from facilities in the province for the generation of electrical energy, but such laws may not authorize or provide for discrimination in prices or in supplies exported to another part of Canada.

Marginal note:Authority of Parliament

(3) Nothing in subsection (2) derogates from the authority of Parliament to enact laws in relation to the matters referred to in that subsection and, where such a law of Parliament and a law of a province conflict, the law of Parliament prevails to the extent of the conflict.
